USC Keck Medicine

Designed as a new intervention to the existing medical campus at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, this building occupies the narrow space currently in use as the parking lot. The Ambulatory Surgery Centers are designed as a series of self-contained pods with- in the building, using the latest concepts in Medical Office Building layout.

Natural light penetrates deep into the building, flooding waiting rooms and clinics with healing properties. A central staircase brings drama to the building core and animates the waiting areas.
