Entenza Residence

The Entenza Residence was the original home of John Entenza from 1937 to 1949. Mr. Entenza hired architect Harwell H. Harris to design his 850 square foot home. The original Entenza Residence in many ways is as important a piece of California Architecture as the Case Study Houses. Through many conversations with individuals that knew John Entenza personally, many felt that the Case Study House program was conceived in the house. As the restoration and preservation architect, Michael Folonis felt it important to preserve the rich architectural and historical character of the house, at the same time up dating the kitchen and bathroom..
